I am Anne, a Certified Grief Support Specialist through the Grief Recovery Method. Allow me to assist you in working through your grief and embracing life after loss. I have experienced many losses in my own life: death of loved ones, loss of a job, loss of friendships, death of family pets. I know the heartbreak of grief and the emotions that accompany the experience of grieving  loss. 

Grief is the normal and natural reaction to significant emotional loss of any kind. Grief brings a myriad of emotions. No two people are alike in their emotional responses. We are not taught how, nor are we truly ever prepared, to grieve our losses. I will lead you on a journey of healing and hope as you discover a "new normal" in your life.


Often after a loss, we feel the need to hurry and "get over it", in hopes of moving past the pain and sadness and back to our normal lives. Friends and family are supportive and loving but often at a loss themselves as to how help in your grieving process. In fact, what we need is to move with our grief, rather than push it away. When we do this, we acknowledge the pain in our hearts and the void left in our lives, thus allowing grief to progress naturally.

The passage through grief ebbs and flows, and emotions may seem manageable one moment but overwhelming the next. We may feel out of control and frightened or confused about our feelings, which leads us to avoid dealing with our grief. If we take the time to address our grief, we can eventually begin to feel hopeful about the future.
